Hello! I'm Jodel Casili Asayas "JoCaAs" from the province of Rizal and now residing in Pampanga. I'm an IT enthusiast and have the passion when it comes to Information Technology. Feel free to browse my personal website I developed.
I graduated from the University of Rizal System – Binangonan Campus with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. My career began in a large digital commercial printing company in Rizal, where I developed a strong foundation in IT operations and support. I later gained valuable experience in Clark, Pampanga, supporting both international BPO and Korean retail organizations, broadening my exposure to diverse business environments and technologies. After returning to Rizal, I joined one of the Philippines' leading animation studios as an IT professional, further strengthening my technical and operational expertise. I am currently part of the Manila office of a globally recognized and respected organization, working within the Core Technology group under the Hosting Enablement/Engineering team as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Level 6). Throughout my tenure with the organization, I have progressed through multiple roles, including Junior DevOps/SRE, Build and Release Engineer, and Site Reliability Engineer. These experiences have enabled me to build deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, platform engineering, and site reliability, while contributing to the delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions.
Previously, I worked as a Site Reliability Engineer, specializing in cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability. I consistently delivered measurable cost savings and operational efficiencies by taking ownership of legacy and unmanaged AWS environments, decommissioning retired systems, and reducing monthly cloud costs by $5,000–$7,000. My experience includes designing and implementing end-to-end automation solutions using AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform, n8n, and Power Automate. Key initiatives included EC2 decommissioning workflows, automated user offboarding and access audits, AI-assisted Terraform deprecation scanning, and FinOps capabilities such as pull request cost estimation and ChatOps integrations within Microsoft Teams. I also enhanced container security by developing Terraform-based infrastructure for Chainguard and supporting the migration from Docker Hub images to secure, continuously maintained Chainguard images. In addition, I improved platform observability and reliability through monitoring solutions, optimized traffic management using CloudFront Functions, and developed centralized deployment tracking to increase release visibility across teams. Prior to this role, I served as a Build and Release Engineer, where I streamlined CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using AWS CodePipeline and CloudFormation, improving deployment efficiency and production stability. Earlier in my career, I built a strong foundation in IT support, ensuring business continuity and effectively managing critical security incidents in fast-paced environments.

I was in Clark Pampanga within three months of the three-month gap in my career. I passed three companies there. Two of them were foreign BPO companies, and the other one was a korean retail company. I was hired as IT. However, I didn't stay longer in Pampanga and returned to Rizal.

4 primary colors as our 4 office uniforms from Monday to Thursday. The House Printers Corporation was my first company I worked for as an IT. I was hired month after I graduated.
October 2017
After almost a year, we finally finished and defended our final thesis. I was the leader and programmer of our web-based enterprise system for Centerpoint Builders Supply, our system was developed using HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL.
